Licensed psychologists, a marriage and family therapist, and a clinical social worker provide counseling, evaluation, and consultation to students seeking assistance with personal, family, and college adjustment concerns. A program specialist provides education, counseling, and evaluation services related to drug, alcohol, and other substance use to individuals and groups who are part of the campus community. Students receiving medication from the consulting psychiatrist must meet with a counselor at least twice a month. All services are confidential, and information will not be released without written authorization. A copy of the policy related to limits of confidentiality is available at the center. A counselor is on call for emergencies after hours. Emergency contact with a member of the counseling staff can be made by contacting the Department of Public Safety at ext. 7810.
